Introduction

My name is Jaime Villanueva and  I am born and raised in Brownsville Texas.  I am married to my wife Nancy for twenty-five years and have two children Claudia who recently graduate from college and Clarissa who is currently a high school student. I currently work for The University of Texas at Brownsville as the Coordinator of Student Relations at the Career Services department. I have to add, that I love my current job based on the fact that I mentor students in preparing them on how to conduct themselves in an interview, resumes building and an array of other services we provide them with.My mother was a Brownsville ISD school teacher for thirty years and was my superhero.  

After twenty-five years in the retail business, I decided to come back to school in 1999 and finish my bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. The life hurdles I had to jump at times felt like they were a hundred feet tall but in 2005 by the grace of god I finished my degree. To this day I still remember the feeling of joy and how proud I was of myself as I walked onto the stage at the student union lawn and received my diploma. I falsely believed that would be the end of my educational quest and nothing can be further from the truth my friends. One of my good friends and co-workers convinced me to pursue a master degree in Educational Technology at UTB. I looked at several other master degree programs online but in 2011 I decided to pursue my masters at UTB in Educational Technology.I realize that it has taken my longer to graduate then most of the students in the master's program but better later than never.       

Purpose of e-Portfolio

The purpose of my e-portfolio is to provide information and share with other educators about my academic career path in Educational Technology. I have developed an array of projects specifically six core projects that can be sum up my course work and can be accessed through this wiki e-portfolio website. I started the Master’s program in Educational Technology in 2011 and will finally finish my masters in Spring 2014.

Core Reflections

My e-Portfolio identifies several responsibilities and performance indicators that reflect my achievements in my six core projects under the matrix section of my wiki e-portfolio.Each project builds on the previous project and develops a well round design course of study.  

Navigation of my Wiki

My e-portfolio is simply organized in the following sections: Home, Reflection Letter, Matrix, a course taken and finally contact me section. To navigate my Wiki simply use the navigation bar or use the next button located on you right side of any page to move to the next section. The majority of my work is in PDF and Microsoft Word format. Additionally, you will need either some type of video player like QuickTime , Media Player or Flash player to access the videos in my e-portfolio.Easy access to this wiki is provided by the next and previous button.
